When I started to think ahead to our time in Chile, I realised that it would be great to nip over the border into Argentina. I did some research and found that the closest city to Santiago on the other side of the border is Mendoza. AND it is actually a really nice place.
Once South America became part of our travel plans, visiting Santiago Chile with the children was a must. Not only had we heard good things about it, but it is pretty much the only way to get to Australia from South America. However, once we left the UK, we heard rumours of protests happening
It is every traveller’s nightmare, particularly those travelling with kids, to have to make a trip to a hospital whilst abroad. Unfortunately, it happened to us, but without a good outcome so don’t worry. On our last day in Colombia, our youngest Alice, took it upon herself to eat a coin. Full-on swallowed it.
We loved the time that we spent chilling on the beach at Playa Blanca in Cartagena. Such a gorgeous beach and not far from the Old Town. During our stay in Colombia, we were lucky enough to visit this beautiful beach twice. We had a great time both times and want to help you
There were lots of places we loved in South America. We love Old Town in Cartagena and the warmth of the Caribbean Sea, we loved the sunshine and wine in Argentina and the metropolitan vibes from Santiago. But Lima still wins. We spent a good few days in Lima, Peru with a little excursion
After we left Florida, we flew to Cartagena in Northwest Colombia. Although, our original plan had been to visit the Bahamas first, we had to make a change of plans after Hurricane Dorian. I have to admit that I was nervous. Florida had been such an easy place to exist. We had so much
I’ll be honest, we weren’t sure whether to visit the Universal parks at all. It seemed like a lot of money for me to visit the Harry Potter bit. But we booked our tickets at the last minute because there was no way that I was not going to do the Harry Potter bit.
During our stay in Orlando, we bought ourselves two weeks of Disney tickets. I mean who wouldn’t. It is literally the best thing to do in Florida. Therefore, we spent 14 days visiting the variety of parks and other entertainment that was included with our park tickets. Disney Springs Disney Springs is free
I said that I would write about this after our experience in New York and now I’ve got the time to reflect on it, here it is. If there are two things you need to go travelling, then it is a passport and a visa. You won’t get very far without these, so it
One of the things that I’m missing whilst travelling the world is seasons. We travelled have travelled from Summer in the UK straight back into Spring in South America. I miss Autumn! The way the trees change colour, the cosy nights in, candles and cups of tea. Imagine, therefore, how I will feel about
